Meet Julia

My name is Julia and I am a Social Media, Buzz Marketing and Internet guru. My passion for staying current withon-line trends began when I received my first Free AOL disc in the mail.  Since then, the Internet has progressed at amazing speeds, opening up a sea of on-line marketing tools for businesses to navigate. It can be difficult to keep up with the new technology, especially if your passions lie elsewhere.  And, even though I have been on-line since AOL chat rooms were the most popular way to chat, I still learn something new everyday that I use to help my clients grow their on-line presence.

My career in marketing began in the early 1990’s when I was promoted to an Inside Sales Manager of a Nationally based Sales Call Center at a very tender age of 25.  It was here that my skills for managing projects, customers and results began to develop.  I also learned how to measure my efforts to project future needs for the company.  This position was my crash course in Marketing and eventually propelled my career forward to working for some of the top Sales and Marketing departments in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

The final position I held before opening 360 Admin was as a Marketing Manager for a home builder.  This promotion was gained merely months before the market crashed around us.  As a Marketing Manager I learned quickly during these hard times how to develop compelling promotions for quick return of investment (ROI).  With the help of our VP and my Co-Manager our company stayed ahead of the market crash and continued to be profitable.

My career in Sales and Marketing taught me some real life lessons over the years and it was that gained knowledge that led me to see a need for an on-line Virtual Assistant with my background and passion for the world wide web.  I found more and more businesses in the marketplace attempting to market their products or services on-line without much success. Most either didn’t have the passion, patience or time to utilize the awesome on-line social media tools that I couldn’t keep my hands off of

Just like you, I want to have passion for my work.  I want to wake up each morning excited about the day. I do not want to depend on someone else to decide my future success. I have an entrepreneur spirit, just like you.  I am driven, just like you.  I will not be an employee, but a partner in your success.

Buzz Marketing

January 6th, 2009 by julialilly

If you have developed your image through a first class website and have a great product or service, but no web traffic or sales, it is time to start using Social Media for Buzz Marketing. Buzz Marketing through social media outlets and blogs, if used properly, will drive 60% of your internet traffic.

Blogs are the number one source of internet traffic to websites today. Educated bloggers know a blog is not the place hit people with a sales pitch. Blogs are for providing useful information about your product or service. If you provide useful information through informative content and don’t attempt to sell the reader at this level, you will not only build trust with the reader, but market yourself as an expert in the industry in which you are blogging about.

Social Media outlets such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, or LinkedIn are the second most important aspect of Buzz Marketing. Social Media outlets step in to build valuable relationships out on the internet and get people talking. But, again, social media is not the place for your sales pitch.

You would not walk into a networking event and walk up to strangers and ask them to buy something from you within the first 10 minutes of your conversation. Blogs and Social Media outlets are built on the same premise.

While blogs and social media outlets are free to everyone to use, there are a lot of small nuances that only experts in the industry know about. Breaking some of these unwritten rules can cause you to instantly lose the relationships and trust you have worked so hard to build up.

Everything I know about Social Media and Buzz Marketing is out there just waiting to be found in blogs, Ezine articles and webinars and with the proper amount of time anyone can become an expert. I hope some of the content I share here will help you get started on the right path to building the buzz you need to drive traffic to your site.
